Ten PSJA Memorial Early College High School Seniors Honored during Scholarship and Academic Signing Ceremony

ALAMO, TX – PSJA Memorial Early College High School hosted a special Scholarship & Academic Signing Ceremony to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of nine seniors who have received full-ride academic scholarships to universities across the state of Texas, as well as one student who has been accepted into the prestigious University of California, Berkeley. 

 

The students have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence and dedication. Eight of the 10 students earned college credit hours or an associate degree from South Texas College thanks to the nationally recognized PSJA Early College Program

 

“We are so proud of our students being recognized today, for the first time we have nine students graduating with full-ride scholarships and one academic signing to the renowned University of California, Berkeley,” said Principal Dr. Raquel Garcia. These students have shown incredible dedication and perseverance throughout their high school careers. We are honored to celebrate their success and look forward to seeing the amazing things they will accomplish in the future.” 
 
The following students were honored during the event: 
 

  • Aldo Enciso Rodriguez – Attending UTRGV and receiving the DreamUS Scholarship 

  • Justin Reyes – Attending UTRGV and receiving the Texas Leadership Scholars Scholarship  

  • Joshua Martinez – Attending UTSA and receiving the Texas Leadership Scholars Scholarship 

  • Christin Hernandez – Attending UT Austin and receiving the Terry Foundation Scholarship  

  • Sebastian Plata – Attending UTRGV and receiving the DreamUS Scholarship 

  • Victoria Saenz – Attending UTRGV and receiving the Luminary Scholars Scholarship  

  • Dulce Rivas – Attending UTRGV and receiving the Texas Leadership Scholars Scholarship 

  • Ximena Lopez – Attending University of California, Berkeley 

  • Emma Hernandez – Attending Texas Woman’s University and receiving the Terry Foundation Scholarship  

  • Eleazar Yoc – Attending UTRGV and receiving the Texas Leadership Scholars Scholarship
